TUG Policy Statement
chunheadshot.jpgA Policy Statement
from TUG's President, Gregory Chun

TheUserGroup.org's (TUG) mission is to be THE community of Distribution Group users of Infor ERP products; to share the wealth of knowledge of other users; and to help direct and influence the future direction of the software platform. That is the goal, and companies, specifically their people, join TUG for these reasons.  We offer resources tha include the annual U2U conference mentioned above, coordination of the ever growing Special Interest Groups (SIG), communications via newsletters, conference calls, web meetings and e-mails. We offer a voice with and the attention of the right Infor personnel to support those goals. All these things and more in an effort to help all member companies utilize their Infor investment to its fullest.
All of these benefits require a good working relationship amongst the member companies, Infor, Infor's Channel Partners, and the multitude of 3rd Party vendors that support TUG's efforts. We are fortunate to have that with all the parties associated with TheUserGroup.org.

Although, an issue has come up (again) recently and TUG would like to take this opportunity to state our position on the use of TUG's resources, to include www.theusergroup.org, for posting job openings and personnel want ads.

As implied above, one of the values TUG offers to a member is indeed networking, but for the ultimate benefit of the member's company. It is not intended, nor designed, to be a social or career networking site.

There are many established sites available on the internet that are designed for the purpose of social networking and some specifically for career networking.

Utilizing our site to hireaway an employee from another member company is a "zero sum game" at best, and would create either conflict amongst members, the lack of trust or the loss of members. These members could (would!) have valuable contributions to make to the group as a whole, which again is why we exist.

TUG sees a conflict of interest in utilizing our resources for the purpose of job postings or career networking and respectfully asks all members to refrain from this activity on www.theusergroup.org.

I encourage any and all feedback.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Gregory Chun
President, TheUserGroup.org
